"Regardless of how the show is produced, I could not imagine a better catalyst for men who want to open up to their wives about their very sincere desire to explore a female-led household. Emily and her husband Ken Addison are the author's of numerous books on female-led relationships and stewards of the Around Her Finger webstite, a leading forum advocating the growing trend of wife-led marriages. The couple is jumping for joy over the announcement of this new show. Their books and website are intended as a a very safe onramp to which men can point their wives to learn the virtues of what they call loving female authority.
"This is not about some pop-culture image of a dominatrix with a whip and a leather mini-skirt. This is about marriages blossoming when wives and husbands have a shared knowledge that the woman will have the final say in decision-making, the husband will pick up a greater share of the housework, and that ultimately, it is he that will be the biggest benefactor," explains Ken.
The site is based on the premise that not only are women more typically suited to head the household, but that many men have an almost innate sense that this will make them happier. Essentially, men are happiest when wrapped around the finger of the women they love. The dynamic will lead to improved communication between the spouses, less arguments, and ultimately, a much greater level of personal intimacy and sexual energy in the relationship.
It may or may not come as a surprise that it is almost always the husband that brings up the idea in the first place. The Addison's claim that most of the letters that come to the site every month are from men that want this sort of relationship, but do not know how to tell their wives about it. The site is principly a resource for these men.
